While trying to get my microphone to work, it was having this unusual feed back buzzing pulsing sounds. Along with a strange noise. (this wasn't my voice, and the file hasn't been edited. ). "who's there?" and the "hello's" are of course me, trying to get the microphone to work. I decided to record it after i felt it was strange. The sound is of course free to use for whatever you desire, credit if you want and leave a comment below to be nice. :).

Sounds of a wine glass being hit with a steel spoon and wooden stick, single hits and repetitive fast hits for imitating a bell of sorts. Going into nice overtones in the second part. Caution: may get noisy and ear-piercing ;). I recorded this for my own sound design purposes (game sfx) and thought i would share it with anyone who may find it useful - if you do, please help yourself and enjoy!.

Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. The oscillators where tuned to the same tone one octave apart. Well. . . Not exactly. After having recorded i measured the frequencies 228,8 hz and 117,7 hz. . . But that made the output from the ring modulator interesting. What is generative with this? i modulate amplitude of the sounds and the decay for all thee sounds. This also affects the rhythm sound.

I recorded people blowing up fireworks in my neighborhood last night with a zoom 6 using the stereo mics. Then i isolated individual sounds and tweaked the eq some in adobe audition, then ran those sounds back-to-back to make these "machine gun" sounds. Let me know what you think? (i might try making some more versions of these).

Microphone handling sounds for found footage and handheld recorder-style sound design, to give a realistic sense of device handling without adding a disruptive amount of noise to dialogue or environmental sound. I was looking for this on here and couldn't find it, so i made it myself. I figure other people could probably use it too, once in a while. Made by handling and adjusting my microphone, as indicated.

Rain storm alien abstract fantasy sfx masteredi transformed the sound of rain and storm and added effects, then mastered it. Recorded tascam dr-05xedited: adobe + fxs + mastered. Please support freesound. Org :-).

A marimba note being struck while thrown in to the air. Can't remember the mic that was used but it was a condensor mic. This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great. The sound can be used for free (though it would be great to hear about what you do with it). It may not be re-distributed as it is, or as part of a compiled sound library.

Metal thumpy toilet paper holder. I got a last minute laptop gig and had no samples with me- i needed some percussive sounds to tweak in ableton live. I headed to a public bathroom with my edirol r-09 and recorded lots of hits in the bathroom. This one was an -sounding metal toilet paper holder.

Sound of footsteps (hiking boots) on a bed of dry chestnut leaves about 40 centimetres thick. Crunching leaves, sounds of the forest in the distance (birds, wind, etc. ). Walk at a fairly slow pace. Perfect for natural backgrounds. Recorded with a zoom h1n held in hand and pointed at the ground.

The sound of a sword being withdrawn (with some difficulty) from a sheath, and then accidentally being dropped and hitting the ground. Also sounds like metal scraping metal. Created by rubbing a scissors against a cheese knife. Recorded on an iphone for an adr/foley project (project on this clip: http://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=7at4fugxtmg#t=8 ).

This is a small jam i recorded myself on my diy spring reverb circuit i've built for a friend. It sounds really good with music. In this session, i've only used coninuous triangle/sine/square waveforms and jammed on my for pots: input gain,hp filter cutoff, feedback amount, output gain. I'm sorry if the recording clips sometimes, but there's a big dynamic so i couldnt see how much loud it was. Feel free to take it and use it for sampling or sound design layering.

2016-06-01clear creek metro parkrockbridge, ohio. In late spring 2016, seventeen-year cicadas emerged in a section of the united states that includes eastern ohio. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar. This recording was made on the cemetery ridge trail at clear creek metro park in rockbridge, ohio. I was standing some distance from the cicada sounds, trying to capture the pervasive roar from a distance. Sound recorded using the built-in mic on an iphone 5.

This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it. I videoed this journey with my canon powershot a460 digital camera, i simply took the sound from the video. It's a good sound, it turned out well thanks to the winter weather, and the rough icy road. Please note, anybody is free to use this sound, you don't have to credit me, but it would be fun to hear how you use my sound if possible. :) here is the link to the type of licence i use. Recording of some new year's celebrations in vienna. Captured using a clippy stereo em172 microphone and a zoom h5 handheld recorder. I positioned the microphone capsules outside the window on the left and right and then gently (almost) closed it. I setup the recorder and rolled the whole evening. This bit was around the apex of the celebrations in that part of town. Sadly some clipping occured, but i chose to upload the unaltered file. So no post-processing has been applied. Cut in ocenaudio. Enjoy!. Want to support the creation of more cc0 sounds?https://flattr. Com/profile/cabled_mess.

A stereo recording of rain falling on my car window. Recorded inside my car with 2 nt5's positioned about 1/2 foot from the window. The rain drips harder at the end. Pluged into sound devices mixpre-6. The recording is pretty raw and i love it!. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. Text me if you want to have fun and talk gear. I love hearing what people are up to!702-860-9869.

Realised to my dismay that this sound was not available. A card tapping and scraping on a ceramic plate. Designed to imitate the noise of cocaine being cut up. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 in a 4m square kitchen. Tea towel was placed under the plate to cut out an excessive noise from the plate itself. Recorded with a low frequency cut off at 80hz.

A young adult female whimpering with a sudden intake of breath at the end. Can be used for surprise, fear, shock, hiding, etc. Recorded using my turtlebeach earforce-x12 headset and then edited in audacity to sound more like a man. This was originally recorded for use in my own project but here, have fun. =).

The alarm call of one of our chickens after she spotted a cat in our garden. A short version of one of a single clean cackle (taken from this recording) is also available. Recorded with a samson q7 microphone through a phonic am85 analogue mixer. Cc0, so no hassle with giving credit.

Recorded by justin cypert in gainesville, fl, summer 2013 during production of my movie paperback (which is free on prime btw-- here's the trailer: https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=swaawufveyq). Birds singing in my backyard, with some people talking and children playing at the playground, traffic noises in the background; recorded with a cheap mono electret microphone (sorry!) - just what i had laying around at the moment. Hope someone finds if useful :).

Recording of a pair of oven mitts being hit together. Might be useful in a game as an inventory sound. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later.
